OKURIMONO II
OKURIMONO II continues my initial project OKURIMONO, which began during an artist residency at Studio Kura in the Itoshima region of Japan. Born from photographs taken during my wanderings through several Japanese cities, the project captures fragments of urbanity, instantly printed on a receipt portable printer, offering a kind of "time capsule" that reveals not only the ordinary but sometimes the unexpected.
With OKURIMONO II, I revisit these images in a post-mortem manner, transforming them into a series of smaller, more intimate and introspective booklets. Each photo, in this new format, highlights the raw and ephemeral texture of the photographed environments, emphasizing the transient nature of these everyday moments. This process adds a tangible and personal dimension to my work, inviting contemplation of the urban fabric as a lasting trace of patterns that slowly dissolve under our attentive gaze.
