OBOLE II
OBOLE II is a project derived from a series of photographs gathered during my wanderings through several European cities in early winter 2024. Captured with a cellphone and instantly printed using a portable receipt printer, these images create a poetic break in the repetition of urban patterns. The photographic fragments, like temporal offerings, reveal both the simplicity of the everyday and the unexpected. OBOLE II continues the exploration initiated in the summer of 2024 with OKURIMONO, underlining often-overlooked details of the urban environment in various Japanese cities.
Developed as a continuation of OKURIMONO, this project is set in a European context and also takes the form of a zine, transforming the ordinariness of the neglected into a space for observation and contemplation. The title, which means “small offering,” reflects the intention to share, through my images, a poetic and unique vision of urban landscapes and their subtleties. This project embodies a way of leaving a trace of my incidental passage, but above all, of highlighting the mundanity of the unnoticed to those with an attentive eye.
